[Image description: A photo of a portion of a page from an early Uncanny X-Men comic. There are three thin panels and a fourth larger one. In this sequence, Wolverine is in his X-Men uniform and battling an android designed to look, sound, and act like Jean Grey.

In the first panel he is prone on the ground as Robo-Jean stands behind him and uses its telepathy to subdue him, but he is resisting. Robo-Jean says “It won’t be long now, Professor”, and Wolverine responds, “Right… there, lady…”

The second panel is a closeup on his masked face. His expression is determined, fierce, and angry. He is trembling from the exertion of fighting Robo-Jean’s powers to rise. He says, “… Only you got it backwards… Jus’ couldn’t see ‘til now… Y’see, folks, I’m like an animal-”

In the third panel he has risen to half-standing with one knee still on the ground. His claws are extended, and he is advancing on Robo-Jean, who is still using its powers to try to hold Wolverine off. Wolverine continues, “- I don’t know from faces. I know from scents, voices… Feelings… I also know Jean Grey!”

The fourth panel shows a closeup of Wolverine’s enraged face and upper body as he lunges foreword and stabs both sets of claws into Robo-Jean, whose demise is just off-panel. Against a violent red background Wolverine says, “An’ lady, whatever you are- you AIN’T Jean Grey!”]

Logan confirmed faceblind.
